Morihei Ueshiba O’Sensei
1883-1969 Founder of Aikido. Born at the very end of the Samurai era; by 1952 he had created from its traditional Samurai systems Iwama Aikido.
O’Sensei added a vital element to Aikido which distinguishes it from other Martial Arts: a non-violent code of ethics.
Aikido is purely defensive.
